If you stay still long enough, blue cusper will amass at your boat wherever. Although I did also manage to catch an Old Cusper unintentionally, by holding some large bait at the bottom of The Basin (or as deep as I could get it), and after I went to go get food, I came back to find an Old Cusper on the line, lol. ![]() Hide ads Hardcore Quester Complete 50 quests. I got a quest for it, it's named "Shaku". Full list of all 85 Cat Goes Fishing achievements. I have no idea how to find the new Huge fish. I can confirm that They did not move away while I had my light active. While exploring the silo, I ran into the Akuma. *Will try and test myself, but for all you secret-hunters out there, considering there are (again I think) 2 new huge fish and this "Shaku" is one of them, I'd be willing to bet that, in fact, the Magnalav has returned. *idk if it has to be night for the new Blue Cusper large fish, got it by just afking at the edge of the map (now conveniently marked by a yellow buoy) for a minute or so. Only read this from another post, will try and test myself. *Still haven't gotten much experience with it yet, but from reading another post I think the Shaku (huge fish) only comes out at night, perhaps if you remain inactive. Wiggled bait in front of one, took it after a sec. *I don't believe the edgy looking Akuma medium fish are scared of the sonar, but rather are light sensitive like the Moga. Ther appears to be a few new medium and large fish and (I think) 2 new huge fish. Blue Cusper- at the very edge of the map at night. He required live bait to catch, otherwise he will swim away from your lure when close.ĥ. Blooper- I found him swimming alone around the Open Ocean/Basin area, not very deep. Blossip, after a little bit of waiting, can be found along the surface from between the Reef wall and The Edge. ![]() They appear to be scared of sonar, just like the Dragon. It can be easier to lure the Brimble up further where it can be quickly dragged to the surface, but it is unlikely to follow the lure all the way.I've caught some of the new fish, and I figured I'd share how with you guys, hopefully anyone with a guide can add this to it:ġ. Generally, it takes a very long time and a lot of patience to catch the Brimble on Realism mode. If you have not unlocked the Lightbulb, then on Realism mode the Brimble can be a difficult catch, as it will quickly and powerfully swim down into the darkness and has a good chance of snapping the line. Without the Sinker rod upgrade it can be difficult to reach the area where Brimble are found, as many other fish are in the way (including other Large, fast fish such as Seraph which will steal your bait).Ī rod equipped with the Sinker, Crankbait and Bait Guard upgrades will be able to quickly sink down to the Brimble's level with minimal attention from other fish, making the task very simple. The Brimble is found in the deeper waters of the Bay, directly below the starting cliff at the point where the water turns dark. ![]() It floats motionless and completely vertical in the water, and does not move unless it sees prey. The Brimble is a Large, bulbous red fish with tiny eyes. The Brimble feeds on scraps that fall from the edge of cliffs. ![]()
